Motherboard- Nvidia Geforce 8300 mGPU
Processor- AMD Phenom x4 9600
Memory- Kingston 4 gb ddr2 667 Mhz pc2-5300
Hard drive- western digital caviar black 1 tb internal ata
cd/dvd drive- LG 16x internal blu ray/double layer dvd/cd
graphic card- bfg geforce 9800 gtx
sound card- not really decided yet, open for suggestion

also trying to find a case to fit all these in.

Anyway, which power supply would be good for this settings?

P.S. - do i need additional cooling? if so which one do u guys suggest?

This thread would get more traffic in the Buying and Upgrading section of the forums. Not that you picked the wrong subcategory in which to post, just that it would get more traffic in a different one.

I'd recommend looking at the 600W+ offerings of Corsair and OCZ for starters. You'll want something modern - something with 8-pin PCIe power connectors. Makes your PSU more future-proof.

For the rest of your build... yeah, it needs work. I'll let the others deal with that.

In order to run a meaty machine, you'll need an equally meaty PSU (power supply unit). For high power parts, I'd opt for nothing less than an 850W, stretching to 1000W if you've got a lot of drives or and SLI/Crossfire graphics setup. In our case, we've gone for the well-trusted OCZ Game Xtreme 850.
