Formatting HD 1.44Mbyte discs to DD 720K discs!

Is it possible to format HD 1.4 Mbyte discs so that they appear to be DD 720K discs?

I'm using a Pentium 3 based machine that is equipped with a 1.44 Mbyte floppy drive, but I need to transfer files to an old (ancient?) Atari ST, which can only read the old 720K DD discs! (It's a long story...)

Yes, depending on the version of Windows you are using, the 720k option should be available in the formatting options for the floppy.
