A friend is helping me build a computer. The motherboard is a ABIT IP35-V intel p35 chipset ATX form factor. Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6600 2.4 GHZ 1066MHZ 4MB. *GB 800MHz DDR2 Non-Ecc CL6 Dimm. 700 watt power supply. 320GB western Digital hard drive. 512MB INNO3D GEFORCE 8600GT DDR2 pc video card, sound blaster live. We got it all together and the power supply will not turn on. We tried another power supply, the same thing. Could the motherboard be bad? I have a call in for tech support. If the motherboard is bad my question is should I stick with ABIT or try another manufacturer? Please any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

I have never heard anything bad about ABIT. If you want to switch, MSI, ASUS Foxcon, ECS, and DFI are all great names when it comes to MOBOs.
