I'm interested in how PC video system works. I know quite a bit about it, for example, bit planes, frame buffers on VGA.
But how does SVGA, XVGA work?
The size of a single screen at 1024x768 is more than 1MB. This is beyond the size of the video frame buffer.
And is there any hardware/software standards governing the manufacturering of video cards?
