New Internals same Hard Drive.

My moms computer is about 4 years old but I had put a new hard drive in it when her other one failed. Now she wants a new computer so i decided ill just make the whole thing for her. She wants to keep her HDD, plus its like 6 months old. So can i just hook everything up as normal like a new system from scratch including the HDD. or do i have to do something different to make this work. The hard drive has windows xp home on it. Thanks.

Thanks for like the fastest response in the world this forum always seems to amaze me whenever I have a question it is answered really quickly you are all great (especially^^^^^). Well this just confirmed what I thought I already knew. Time to wipe the drive and buy a new copy of windows. (after backing up files, lol)
