I saw this videocard: Asus EN7200GS HTD 256MB

I was wondering if it would fit on this motherboard: asus A8N-E socket 989 for AMD CPU so it would be no problem to use this videocard.

Yes, it will work...but how much are you spending on it?

seems I do not have much money to spend so it's around 30 euro.

This one

or a 8400gs

Edit: Looking at that again the HD 3450 uses system RAM to make it a "1Gb card" so the 8400gs will be better ;)

What will the PC be used for?

Edit 2: Is this your MOBO? (http://www.trustedreviews.com/motherboards/review/2005/09/23/Asus-A8N-SLI-Premium-Socket-939-Motherboard/p1) if not does your current MOBO support PCI-e or is it AGP?

I think the motherboard is somewhat different: asus A8N-E socket 989 for AMD CPU and it has a PCI-E port.

I saw that videocard: Asus EN8400GS Silent/HTP/256MB PCI-e

performance is a bit better compared to: Asus EN7200GS HTD 256MB ?

well in all honestly they are not much use apart from to have extra monitor support and maybe better HD movie play back.

The 8400Gs will probably have at least a 50% performance increase (But sill will not play any of the latest, or 2 year old games). The 8400gs will be good if you want to watch HD movie playback will take some load off your CPU

I replaced the videocard with another new one: Asus EN8400GS Silent/HTP/256MB PCI-e.
When I start up the pc, there is no display, the monitor just blinked on and off. It seems like the card is not being picked up? The monitor still works, tested on another pc. There is no power supply cable connected to the videocard (couldn't find a port), is that correct?

Windows does start up though, in the same way as when no videocard is placed (I hear the windows start up sound).

Is it because of the drivers of the previous videocard? I can't uninstall those anymore, because the previous videocard doesn't work anymore. And I can't connect the monitor to the motherboard.
