Hey guys,

I have a gigabyte motherboard running vista, and the drivers it came with for the on-board sound card aren't working how I had hoped. I was hoping that I could have the speakers plugged into one port, a microphone in another, and headphones in a third (I have 6 3.5mm jacks total on the mobo) and that they all work. I have tried and am unable to attain this, so I was wondering if anyone knew the Realtek Audio Drivers program for vista well enough to help me or if there was a generic 3rd party program to better help me with this issue.

Thanks,
Brian

Why not split the output 1/8th jack into two and plug the headphones in to the spare jack?

A simple volume knob (made of a variable resistor) should be good enough to control the headphone volume.
