After refrmatting a system to a new hard drive, i did some tweaking. One of these tweeks removed my systems ability to remember ISP passwords. I now need to enter my password to get on-line and another to get my mail. I run Win 98 SE. None of my btweaks were in the registery. Any suggestions?
Thanx.

Can't tell you much without knowing what utilities did the tweaking. With the IE dial-up if you look after you type in your password a check box will be under it that tells dial up networking to save your password. Check that box and it should remember your password after successfully connecting.

Also check the Micro$oft site, seems I remember the password saving problem being an issue with Windows at one point, but can't remember which version. I didn't consider it a problem, since I never save my passwords, to keep other people from using my connection, getting into email, changing websites, etc. I also use passwords that are usually 7-9 characters consisting of letters and numbers, to make it more difficult to crack.

If you had everything...Where would you put it?
