With the holiday season just around the corner, WHEN is the best time to buy parts to upgrade? Better to wait for the hoilday sales, or are prices lower before the holidays?
Looking to do a CPU/MB/RAM (intel) upgrade soon.

The best deals (bang for buck) are nearly always to not go for completely state of the art CPU/MB and for most ordinary users getting such hardware that is 6 to 12 months "out of date" can produce big savings and little loss of function.
RAM is just about as cheap as it has ever been.
Always shop around and compare different vendors. Prices and special deals can appear ever week or so. I don't think the holiday season has much to do with any of this other than the two peaks for laptop sales seem to be the start of the University Year and Christmas.

From what I have heard retailers and etailers are going to rely heavily on pushing out email newsletter deals this holiday season. So sign up at your favorite store if you haven't already and look for deals coming in your inbox.
I have noticed more newsletters than usual from Newegg lately with some pretty good deals.
I am not saying go out and sign up for everything you can, but those stores you know and trust. ;)

I was just thinking that maybe the I7s would effect the prices on the E8000 cpus. That I should wait for there release before upgrading my AMD socket 939 rig.
