Hi all, I am the new boy in town and this is my first post!

I have a Broadband provider question.

I currently have a BT Broadband connection through a Phillips Wireless Router. My connection speed is slow because I am located 6 km from my nearest telephone exchange.

I also have Sky TV and like most people at the moment, I need to cut down my outgoings. I was going to cancel Sky and rang them to do so, however they have offered me FREE broadband, on the basic package and Sky talk,(Inc line rental) thus cancelling out the need for BT and significantly reducing my outgoings.

However I have started to hear rumblings about the quality of Sky Broadband and Sky service issues.

Has anyone on here had problems with Sky Broadband? Should I go ahead or rethink my options?

I need a stable internet connection for my work.

If anyone can offer advice or the benefit of there experience, I would very much appreciate it.

Many thanks

Remember that Sky still requires you to have a BT line, so rental is still payable.
Personally, I would stay with BT as your ISP, I have also has "issues" with Sky. The speed of connection would be the same whichever ISP you used.
