Hey guys, I'm working on building a brand new gaming PC from scratch and I was needing a little advice. I've worked on computers and stuff for a long time but I've never had a big issue with things like; power consumption and cooling needed with the latest and greatest. Most of my computers have been older and price-watchy. SO, here's what I've got so far.
Intel Quad Core Q6600
ASUS P5K DELUXE P35 Mobo
BFG 9800 GTX Video Card
Western Digital SE16 500GB SATA Drive
Corsair XMS2 Dominator Xtreme Performance TwinX - 4 GB - 1066mhz
I was wondering what you guys thought about that combo and any suggestions maybe. I'm also lookin for some ideas on maybe what kind of case to get (to maximize cooling and whatnot.. Of course looks count ;p), what kind of fans/cpu cooling systems, and what kind of power supply I'd need (wattage etc.). I'm pretty tech savvy for most things, just a little different for me with the newest technology. Normally I'd just get a few average parts that performed well for the budget and slapped em together with a state-of-the art fan system that would do everything by itself. I understand, however, that things are getting a bit warm in there when you couple this stuff.
Thanks in advance guys!!
