This may sound like a dumb question, but I've never had a laptop before. I have a HP Pavilion N3310 laptop with a HPA LCD screen, and with all of the questions I asked when I purchased it, I forgot to ask how to clean the screen! Can anyone with knowledge of laptops with a LCD screen please tell me how to do this? I don't want to hurt the screen, and it's kind of soft and weird. I have a regular desk top pc, but that is easy to clean and I can't find any info on cleaning the laptop's screen. Also, is it bad to touch the screen? I have a 11yr. old who uses both pc's regularly for school and chatting, and I've told her not to touch the screen on the laptop. Can touching the LCD screen be harmful for the pc? Just wondering. Thanks!

You might try HP Tech support at: http://www.hp.com/notebooks/pavillion/support/eng I don't think it's a wonderful idea to touch any computer monitor if it can be avoided. Harry

Not a dumb question at all. People ruin their screens using harsh cleaners on them.
Personally, I try to keep things simple: most dry material can be removed with a clean dry cloth, and most wet stuff with a clean, soft cotton cloth slightly moistened with warm water. Very unlikely you will hurt anything doing that, as long as you don't grind into the surface.
It's best to keep the little fingers off the screen, but we all know that there's theory and reality. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
