Greetings my friends!
I am having A LOT of problemas burning a super grub disk. I go to the website downloaded the file for cd to my desktop , I extracted it to another file and then burned this file to a cd . This is supposed to be a bootable cd but the problem is that it does not boot. I do not know what I am doing wrong ( and yes the pc is set to boot from the cd rom first lol before you ask )Your help will be appreciated as always!!!

Do you have a link to the "file" and is it an iso. If so you need to burn the image to disk and not the file to disk. There is a difference. If you cant get your own burning software to do it then try imgburn or the very straightforward burncdcc (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/burncdcc.html).

Well when I downloaded the file to the desktop it says it is a .RAR FILE it does not says is an ISO. I have been looking for the ISO to download but cant find it. When I go to the website the file says it is an ISO but ince it is done downloading the file appears as RAR and as I explained I have extracted it and burned it and does not work and I have burned it without extracting it and does not work either.

rar files are like zip files and need to be unpacked
It's only a 3MB download so look for sgd_0.9670.iso on one of the mirrors. The mirror#1 is operational just now (http://www.supergrubdisk.org/index.php?pid=5).

That is the one I have b een downloading and extracting ( in 2 different pc's) and the disc does not boot. What i might be doing wrong? ( I burn using nero) Do I extract it and burn it? ( this will be my fourth cdr that goes down the drain if it does not work) Thank you
This is the list I get from the mirror
NON of them are Rar
Just select the ISO and make sure you do not change the name or extension on it

I have selected from that list the and downloaded, extracted and burned still does not boot. Will try a third different pc just to be sure.Thank you
If you select the ISO file from the list and download it
It should be auto saved and there is NO need to extract it
If you have something running that is changing the files or the extention
Turn it off
also
Try saving the file to a folder on your hard drive NOT to the desk top
these are the two files I tested
super_grub_disk_0.9689.iso
super_grub_disk_0.9701.iso
Both saved to my download folder and then using both nero and roxio they worked perfectly
Find what is causing your system to rename, change or compress these files and bypass it
Again there is no need to extract an ISO file
What program are you using to burn the ISO to disk?

I am using nero to burn the ISO . I know that there is no need to extract and ISO but I do not know why once the download is finished ir appears as a RAR file ( is not the first time I burn an ISO but surely is the first tiem I am into so much trouble doing it)

How to burn an iso (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto).
This link is for a Ubuntu iso but its the same for any iso. An iso is an image file and should not be modifed by the user. The only thing that needs to access the file is the correct burning program (or component of such a program) which is why I recommended burncdcc earlier because it is "almost" idiot proof.
Of course if you are somehow getting rar files that is a separate problem. Have you tried right clicking on the iso link and choosing Save Target or Save Link As.
Which OS are you using and which Browser?

I've zipped up an iso and uploaded it to:
http://www.paulski.com/utilguides/super_grub_disk_0.9766.zip
You can try downloading the zip file and see if it too gets turned into a rar file. If not just extract and the iso should be inside it.

I downloaded your file and extracted it (information says is an ISO) I burned it and still I can make it boot in 3 different pc's. I am sorry it seems I can put together a pc troubleshoot problems in it but can't make a simple ISO BURN!!!. I am so frustrated by this (thank GOD I do not have ulcers). Your isntructions can not be simpler. It seems I will have to buy the darn disk elsewhere

The problem may lay with what app you are using to burn your ISO.
I am using nero to burn the ISO
If you are using NERO 'Smart Start' and choosing 'Make a bootable CD' under the 'DATA' icon, this is where your problem lays.
It needs to be done under the 'Copy and Backup' icon with the choice 'Burn Image to Disk'.
I did a similar thing back a time ago and kept getting a 'Caldera DOS' screen which is correct for the choice but not for your (our :o ) intended purposes.

Which Application did you use to burn the iso?
The iso in the file I uploaded is a bootable iso and makes a bootable CD and its integrity can be checked with its MD5 checksum which is:
922e22d59c17d7a9a41a93c2da85c748
For *super_grub_disk_0.9766.iso
If burned with Nero you don't choose to make a bootable disk you just choose to burn the IMAGE to disk (http://johnbokma.com/mexit/2007/01/05/burning-dvd-iso-image-with-nero-express.html) since the image (or iso) is a bootable image.

Do not ask me what happened but I downloade your file once more ( in one last attemp) burned it and IT WORKED!!. Strange thing is that I did excatlu the same I was doing so far. I checked the disc to see the file contents and all of them ( the disc that do not boot and the one that boot) has exactly the same files and are of the same exact size. Strange I have no clue of why this happened. By the way this disc solve may problem in less than 3 seconds. THANK YOU to all of you guys!!
