I somehow converted to use of firefox for a while now. A couple days ago, I noticed that sites like www.woot.com (http://www.woot.com) wouldn't work right, along with a couple other sites. Most of which I could live with, but now the Facebook Chat doesn't work right either. I've no problem in Opera and I.E. 7. The current plug-ins I have for firefox are: Colorful Tabs 3.6 Download them all 1.0.3 Embeded Objects 1.7 Magic's Video Downloader 2.2.280608 Morning Coffee 1.32 No Script 1.8.4.1 (disabled because I thought it may help...) Skype extension for Firefox 2.2.0.102 solid state ion 0.8.8.3 (disabled because I thought it may help and I am not entirely sure why it was installed. SpeedDial 0.7.2.5 Any idea where I should start?

just found another problem site... the buttons on top of the message box which consist of Bold, Italics, Underline, font color change, ect, they don't work.

Try downloading Firefox again, perhaps you got a corrupted download?
Uninstall the old copy, then install from the new file. The bookmarks, etc should be saved and work in the new install.

Add extensions one at a time and test functionality.

I'll try it.

Seems you have a deeper seated problem than whether or not you are using a Mozilla product...

why do you say that, Fruss Tray Ted? Everything seems to be fine in Opera

I am not ready to say "infection" yet. Recent install of Firefox and unusual symptoms are more likely to be a bad install, it is not common but I have had one friend who did have it occur. Reloading fixed the issues.

well, I did up-grade a plug-in, but that's about the only big change.

Because you mentioned problems w/ FF right from the get-go. I missed the Opera works OK mention.

No-Scripts can put a halt to a lot of things if you are not used to it. Look there first even though you disabled it.

I've been using no-scripts for a while so, I find it hard that things would change so much after a recent update

The three vista machines in my house have all been having problems with FF crashing once in awhile. I have an inkling that it has something to do with video...

I say vista machines because the one machine in my house that has XP on it that gets used a lot is my youngest daughters and she has been grounded from it for about a week, so not certain if the problem is there or not.

They all started doing it at the same time, so my best guess is a recent windows update did something.

it sounds like a different problem, though I have yet to re-install all the plug-ins that I once had.
