Hi.

i have 2 laptops connected to the internet via a wireless router.

however i've been away for a while, and since i came back i found that the network is playing up.

the internet is working fine on the main computer.- not the same for the laptops.

when i open network connections:-
under --internet gateway the I.Connection is diasabled.
-- LAN ---wireless network connections is connected---- Local Area Connection(network cable unplugged)

my router is a Dlink. the ethernet cable is connected to the modem and the router(third slot from antenna labeled no.2) wheras the dlink cable(blue) is connected in the slot labelled 1.

the lights at the front----power, status, wlan, 1,2 (all flashing apart from power)

iv pinged the router IP on the laptop to get 0% loss.

wheras when the same is done on my computer there is a 100% loss

Can anyone help???
thankyou:)

It's a good idea to reset the network hardware after a long period of non use

Power off everything ( Unplug if need be)
Then plug it all back in
In Order
modem, then router, then access point (wifi) , then your systems
As you power up each item
Wait for it to compete it's power cycle and all ready lights are on and correct lite
Then turn on / power up the next item

A good refresh can solve a number of problems
