View Full Version : vista Crash when using Skype

I don't know if any of you guys ever experience this. Everytime I use Skype I gat t fatal error in vista.. Its some sort of Blue Screen that gives a countdown to start the machine. And after starting it looks like improper shutdown coz Vista is asking an options to boot on safe mode.

I have check for Bios Upadte and it seems my current bios is updated. I have tried it on XP and it works better (means it only happens once).

Any suggestion how to solve this.

What version of Skype and what 'Skype Device' are you using?

Im using skype ver 3.6.. I just upgraded it now to 3.8 the lates version.. Im don't have any problem with other device. Im using normal headset and sometimes Bluetooth headset.


Note: after upgrading to ver. 3.8 I haven't tested yet for a long time conversation.

Same problem for me also. any solution for this. I have uninstalled skype.

Skype 3.8 is also same.. it crashes very often... I didn't experience this before reformating my HD

Check/update audio drivers. Also make sure you are using the proper driver versions for your OS...64 bit drivers if you are running 64 bit Vista.

Audio drivers is updated...and Im using 32it vista... I have check HP website for update but Im sure I got the latest one...

try xp .I have 27 pc's in my cafe here in california
and there all xp with the new skype 4.0

I've got a problem.out of range pops up with letting windows fully open and it gets to loading for 4 seconds and then wham.black sreen looking back at me
for 2months..
