How do i find out whats the max processor my motherboard will take,At present i have a p2 350mhz

You'll need to get a manual for the motherboard. If you don't have one, boot the computer and press the [Pause] key during the first screen, and write down the BIOS ID string, which is the long number at top left. Press any key to continue booting after you write it down. Then go to the link below and look in Trish's Escape from Hardware Hell, Motherboard/BIOS link, or the BIOS links in my site. You'll find plenty links to identify the motherboard and possibly a link to a manual. The manual will have the info you need.

From experience the manual doesn't always tell you the max speed cpu you can put in your motherboard. They often don't update the manual when new cpus come around. Try to look through you motherboard manufacturers' site for that kind of information.
