My son drug the Accessories tab off the menu bar to the desktop. Now I have an Accessories icon on the desktop. I used the Taskbar & Star Menu options to put it back, but the arrow sliders are gone off the Communications; Enterntainment; Games; Internet Tools & System Tools icons. The only way to use them is to select the icon and open the entire file that contains the sub-files. I want the arrows back to sellect the sub-files in the menu before opening. Like it was originaly. How can I do this?

Try this,
in the windows directory, rename setup.old to setup.ini.
FRom the start button, choose RUN
Type GRPCONV /s and press enter. YOu will see a dialog box that gives you the status of the rebuilding process. After the folders are recreated, you are returned to the desktop. This process recreates the default folders that Win 95 creates during setup. HOpe this helps you out. let me know if this works.

chrgary: It didn't work... I changed the file to a "ini" then ran the GRPCONV /s program and nothing displayed. I tried to change .old file back, but there are now three .ini files and I don't know witch one to rename back. By the way I'm runnin '98. (HELP)

to sort out yer progams(in win98) clik <start>. <settings>
thenn clik <task bar&start menu> , then select<start menu programs> tab
and you should see customize menu with <add ,remove, advanced. clik advanced
youll now be on the <exploring start menu > utility

Ok, I don't have a start menu and taskbar option in my settings either. The best way I know how to fix this problem is to drag the accessories folder back to where it is meant to be. Just drag it over the start button until the start menu pops up, then drag it over programs, till the programs menu pops up, and then drop it in there.

Thank you Dewah... I was unaware of the advanced tab, or how to implement it. You've solved all my probs. The programs went right in with all the the slider arrow features just as it was before my son messed it up. Thanks again.
