name change

Hello All,
My sister has been given a pc by her daughter,it runs XP home.Question is,
'There is a box with name and password included to open the session.It has the daughters name inserted but password is not needed.[None cerated I suppose].
Can I remove this box or change or delete the present name?

Assuming this is a User name, yes you should be able to either make a new user account for the mother or alternatively turn off the login entirely.

There are other approaches but The Logon tab of TweakUI PowerToy for XP (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx) does this for one in a very straightforward manner.
