I flashed my bios and no video displays on monitor:
I did jump from 1503 to 1801 on their update. I was wondering if someone new of a fix?
1.) I flashed my bios using the utility they had in the bios menu
2.) After bios flash successfully system rebooted and never posted video
3.) Mobo boots up but will not display anything, (its like the video card is bad or something.) the video card boots and has power
4.) I tried removing my video card and mobo beeps at me
5.) I tried placing the jumpers in the 2-3 position and tried clearing the cmos
any suggestions anyone?
Specs:
Asus Striker Extreme
Core2Quad Q6600

hmm sounds puzzling, flashing the bios is a risky business anyway.
the asus striker extreme has two PCI-e slots, try placing it in the other one?
did you follow the instruction to flashing the BIOS to the letter or did you miss a step or two? :p

5.) I tried placing the jumpers in the 2-3 position and tried clearing the cmosDid you do this with the PSU turned off? Like, physically turned off via the rocker switch in back?
If the system still has power, using the jumper to reset the CMOS doesn't always work quite right...

I did follow the direction to the T. I am getting frustrated. I also switched my video card to a different pci-e slot and same thing (No start of video).
I flashed the bios from my mobo. i dont know if that matters, i also removed all sata devices, removed sound card and memory at one point. No sound came but at one point i removed my video card and i got a sound. MOBO led says, "CPU INIT".
any suggestions?

yup i did that with the psu no plug. I tried the method of:
turn off computer
remove battery
press "clear cmos" for 1 minutes to down position
insert battery
press " clear cmos" to up position
turn on ur computer
is there another way?

hmm, flashing the BIOS (like i said above) can be a big risk, what you are doing when you flash it is you are erasing all of the data on the ROM chip and re-writing over it, if any thing interrupts this it can be catastrophic. As the BIOS (Basic input output system) controls what everything on your motherboard does.
Now that MOBO if i recall has a
LCD Poster
Debug with translation
When system malfunction occurs, LCD Notice Board automatically detects for device failure and posts physical system errors on the LCD during POST. No more reading "gibberish to find out what´s wrong.
when booting up with everything plugged in what does it say?
Also how did you flash the BIOS?
-USB stick
-Floppy
-In windows
i do not have another pci-e video card.
Another idea may be to try another GPU, maybe a friend?
I also switched my video card to a different pci-e slot and same thing
you tried all three?
Most motherboards, these days, have a recovery feature for bad flashes...I'd recommend following that and reverting to an earlier version. Most of them do run automatically, so if it is actually getting far enough into the POST to start, then it should recover.
But...
You knew this was coming...
If the MOBO light is hitting CPU INIT and not going any further, your problem is not video related. It is that the board is now not recognizing your CPU any longer...in which case the recovery won't work. Try pulling the CPU, then resetting the CMOS jumper...then put the CPU back in, or if you can borrow another CPU, try it...
