I need some help on building my own PC, I know that building my own PC will be cheaper than buying a new already built PC
I am looking to have a fast core 2 duo with 2.4 ghz or faster that can be used mostly for playing video games and running high memory programs like photoshop ect.. also I need a good video card that I can be running on a regular TV and HD TV, also I need it to be very low noise. I am looking something that will not go over 1200 CND$
I know that I need to start by buying a case, power supply, fans ect..
can someone give me some tips, where is a good place to buy the parts, and an estimate on how much it will cost

You should invest in a quality PSU also. Anything under 500W won't be good enough.

about 3 years ago I built a decent gaming system using parts off newegg.com and ended up spending about $1700 US,

*begins to chant "motherboard motherboard motherboard" over and over*

Seriously though. Don't skimp on the mobo. Processors can be replaced. With SLI you can massivly upgrade your video card when you want to, but the mobo is the skeleton that keeps your computer on its feet. Get a good one, SPLURGE on a good one, or you'll find yourself doing a full rebuild in a couple of years instead of a series of small--comparativly less expensive--upgrades of half a decade or more.

Something like this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188024) might be suitable for you to build off of if you want a gaming PC that will keep up with technology. Others can probably link you one that is trully "futureproof"--ie, allowing you to upgrade safly for several years.
