Hiya my forum friends. I have recently installed Fable on my computer and this error message popped up when I tried to play it...

Your system does not have enough RAM or virtual memory to run the game. Please close any addtional programs that may be running or increase your virtual memory settings. If you wish to add additional RAM, please contact your computer manufacturer for any necessary assistance.

It will allow me to play anyways, but I would like everything to work as smoothly as it can to give me best graphics and gameplay. I just built my budget gaming rig in June of this year. I know my rig can play Fable because it can play Mass Effect and Bioshock which are both extremely more demanding than Fable. I will list my computer specs below.

Thank you in advance for any help or advice.

Some searching online led to an interesting pattern: Fable LC doesn't like 64-bit operating systems. But the errors are more than just rare, and no one seems to have an answer.

Errant things that worked for some people include: uninstalling and reinstalling the audio drivers, running the game in WinXP compatibility mode.

Micro$oft only has this (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/837869) to say. System Managed page file size? Are they crazy? Can't hurt to try it, but I wouldn't run a gaming system like that indefinitely.

Hey Saphalline, thank you for your response. I tried the page file solution and it did not help. However, I did try making the shortcut to Fable LC compatible with Windows XP and it got rid of the error. How strange...I've noticed alot of games require compatibility changes and running in administration mode with Vista 64bit.

Wonder why?
