I shall appreciate if someone could tell how to lock and unlock the keyboard.I have gone in the BIOS settings but could not find such an option.
Thanks!
Why do you want to do this?
Usually is done with a hardware lock on the front of the case... if you have one and still know where the key is. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thankx!
I had probably used the wrong wording; it should be how do u make the keyboard freeze, and function again.I know of some older model computers it could be done in the CMOS settings!!A colleague of mine had asked me this question.

How would you change the setting if your keyboard was frozen? I still don't understand what you mean...

The only concept I can think of that would be relevant to "locking a keyboard" is a physical key lock on the case, otherwise I am conf00sed.

I believe Charles, that Eagle may be referring to some sort of security option that is similar to the password-protected screensavers that are popular in the open office atmosphere. One of my in line supervisor's uses this now so he doesn't shut down at lunch (he's not up on the "log out as" function of Win 98) anyways it is idle-time activated (the lights on the keyboard blink indicating the lock is "on") as screensavers are. His keyboard will lock out anyone that doesn't enter the correct key combination, so I suppose only the keys in the code are freed for use. I will ask around for the name of the program. I do remember seeing this "lock keyboard" option in some older computer BIOS'. -Jerry

Thanks Charles and Bassvax for your feedback.
I guess the option I was talking about may only be available in the older hardware platforms.
