startup problem

Hello I'm trying to put xp back on a system win will start loading ok but when
it get to where it say starting win it say it did not found hard disk check
cable and power plug in or press f3 to quit it also appear that someone might have set it to boot from network which I dont know much about trying to help some one else

One of the most common causes for this is trying to load XP on a SATA drive. XP does not include SATA drivers, so they need to be loaded first or the BIOS needs to be set to have the SATA mimic IDE mode.
