I need to setup a wireless hotspot for 16-20 users at an exhibition. The exhibition center will provide the Internet connection (choice of 512Kbps, 1 Mbps or 2 Mbps).

What equipment would I need to implement this and what bandwidth should I choose.

Cost is an issue and I need to keep it as low as possible. The service should run reasonably well with 16 - 20 users connected.

Any advice on this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I would get a wireless router for about $50.00 and get the most bandwidth you can. If you want to limit who can connect, setup security and you would have to give users a password. Change the password every day...

Here is a 'Hotspot on CD'...http://www.publicip.net/.

Yeah, you still need a wi-fi router, a machine to run the hotspot on and a connection, but as far as passwords/log ins/etc this has almost all other methods beat.
