I have set up my home network (Win98, dial up modem, aol isp)... 2 computers... so far. Have setup INternet connection sharing. I cannot get to the internet (from client computer) unless the host computer is already on internet. Is this normal.

Yep, that's the way internet connection sharing works, it's designed to allow multiple connections using one modem. The primary, or host, must be connected to the Internet before the other(s) can use it. If you try to connect through the client computer when the host is not already connected, the modem on the host should dial in.

If you had everything...Where would you put it?

Thanx Pete! I must have a config prob, because host will not dial in when connection is initiated from non-host computer.

Check in the Control Panel under Internet Options, there may be a setting to control that.
