Hi, I have around 900$ budget for this gaming rig, the first part, I have no problem choosing cpu/video card but I don't know how to chose mobo+ram

here are what I chose for begining, bold writing are those which I am not sure

Intel C2D E8400
Sapphire HD4870 512mb
OCZ GameXStream 600W
Antec Nine hundred
Asus P5Q-E <I don't know any other mobo than Asus so I chose the one not too expensive, 2X PCIE2, I would like to crossfire later

RAM
OCZ DDR2 PC2-8500 Fatal1ty Edition 2GB 60$
1066MHhz 5-5-5-15

or

OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Platinum 2GB 60$
800Mhz 4-4-4-15

or

Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4 60$
800Mhz 4-4-4-15

Which one is the fastest?? Please suggest if you have better option for aroudn the same price ^^

I have no idea how to choose right ram memory, 2gb will be enough for me but my motherboard support 800Mhz/1066Mhz/1333Mhz, here's the problem, will it be better to choose the highest frequency that mobo supports with higher latency or lower frequency with lower latency

Thanks

I would bump up the power supply to a minimum of 650W, if you intend to go Crossfire later on I would make it 750W. That should also leave some headroom for other additions down the road such as more ram, another hard drive etc.

I don't have time to go into the other stuff right now, but either I will post back when I have more time or one of the others can pick it up.

yeah I should get a better PSU but I still don't know which ram to take since speed/frequency are mixing me up :S

Faster is better. Faster with lower latencies is better yet :p , but normally if you want that you are going to pay for it.

2GB is fine if sticking with XP, but if you are going to run vista now or in the near future you want 4GB for gaming. Even if you are sticking with XP you might as well go with 4GB seeing how ram prices are so good these days.

This would be my ram pick for a Core2 system right now.

CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145214)

The board you picked out looks good.

Here are a couple 750w PSU's I highly recommend.

PC Power & Cooling 750w (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703009) - just bought this myself, it's sitting on my desk waiting to be installed in the system I am on right now.

Corsair 750w (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006) - another great PSU.

What is a purpose of getting 2 video card?

It takes some of the workload off of the other card which results in better frame rates. A Crosefire 4870 is pretty sweet!
