Ok at the moment I have Windows 2000 advanced server set up. I have tried setting up as a domain controller with Active Directory but ran into problems setting up NAT for sharing my web connection. I'm aware of an issue with ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) that stops it working properly when installed on the same machine as the DHCP controller, so I stripped the server down and now have it set up as a workgroup server, using ICS to share the modem. (ICS contains a cut down DHCP & DNS server).
Problems -
When dial on demand is enabled on ICS - the server dials up every 3 minutes or so when a user is logged on and if I log out of the server the Dial on demand works as it should but its not sending a user name or password to my ISP.
Has anyone come accross this issue? Failing that - does anyone now how to set up NAT and Routing servises on Win2K?
