I am trying to reinstall Windows 98.The reason why Iam reinstalling is because I had a KAK worm. And my IRQ where all screwed. So I decided to reinstall. But after fdisking and formating,I go to the setup and it freezes after it goes to a 100%. This as happend like 5 times. Do you have any suggestions.

This might sound completely nuts but I installed Red Hat to completely wipe the drive. Ill let you know how it works. Any input to this problem would greatly be appercaited. You guys and gals have a excellent site.

Guess what no dice. Only thing I get is a black screen now after setup. I am having a hard time determining if I have bad ram or a hard drive but Linux went on just fine. So I dont think hardware is a issue. I have another tech trying to put Win 98 on another machine to see if it is a bad copy but I doubt it.

KAK worm - mmmm....
Linux worked but Windows doesn't - even after repartioning...
I might be going over old ground but doesn't KAK affect your boot sector?
Might be worth trying c:\fdisk /mbr to repair the boot sector. DOS stuff isn't my best field but given your current situation it can't do any harm.
