Too many denial of service attacks?

Did some checking, seems the principals behind the site were doing other things (one hired by MS and two others having children) and site succession was never planned. They closed down the archives as well, hopefully kept the site email addresses and personal info secure.
Hope no rogue sites try to capitalize on the name.

The owner, Paul, was hired by MS and cannot run the site as part of his contract... Fortunately, he will probably be able to help MS do some of the things that CCops was doing...

Robin is the one having babies and doing a bunch of other things... They moved to Seattle to do the job for MS and are dealing with selling the old house, setting up a new one and dealing with the financial strain of it all...

They had arranged for someone to take over the site, but whoever that was did not do what was needed to make that happen and it got to the point that Robin couldn't sustain it... I am hoping that it may be resurrected in the future, especially since the Phishing and other SPAM services are not really replicated anywhere else...

Paul and Robin own the domain name for several more years and I doubt they will let them lapse, so the domain is safe and will not be grabbed like SWI was...

I understand that contractual obligations could get in the way, sad that some interested parties were too late to pick it up.

Budfred:

Are there lists available anywhere else on line?

If you mean the malware lists, they have been maintained at SystemLookup for some time... You can access them there or with the MalwareSearch add-on in Firefox... There are details about the add-on and the lists in Boot Camp...

If you mean the IRTs, I am not aware of them being available anywhere else at this point, though that might change... The wiki is also offline at this point...
