There are lot of wires comming from the face of the computer casing...
WIRES from the HDD LED, RESET, POWER, etc....

I know where to connect but I dont know the orientation...

What is common color for "+" and "-"
Most common RED wire is POSITIVE "+" and BLACK wire is NEGATIVE "-"
There are plugs with common color of wire WHITE paired with other colors such as BLUE, or RED or etc....

Download the manual for your motherboard; it will show you where the pin headers are on the board. They are all different.
Usually for LEDs, the colored wire is + and the white or black wire -. If you get them backwards you can generally reverse them without any fuss.

Can't add much to ixl's comments, just a confirmation. You can put them on backwards and it won't hurt a thing, they just won't work. The motherboard manual should have the proper orientation, but if you don't have it and can't find one, trial and error will work, and won't cause any electrical shorts, etc. If an LED or switch won't work, reverse the polarity and press on...

If you had everything...Where would you put it?
