I don't get it...what's he complaining about?

I would have killed for mustard to go with the absolute garbage I was served on the last flight I had with a meal included (yeah US flights don't do meals unless they are over a certain length and then you have to pay for the privilege to be served something that looks like White Castle would have thrown out...two weeks ago).

At least the tomato looked like it actually came from a plant and not some lab in the basement of a community college...

mjc, some parts of the US (mostly the NE because there's a bunch of them in NY and a few other places...) consider White Castle to be a delicacy... I don't get what he was complaining about either, the food didn't look that bad, especially since some of the letter he seemed a little "un-cultured" and didn't know what he was given...

I would love to write a complaint letter just like his though...

I think you are right and it is extremely difficult to please international traveler's wildly divergent tastes.
No matter what you serve, someone along the way will complain. At least in this instance the complaint letter is polite

I said that people like White Castle, that the food there is respectable... I was not insulting it, I was complaining about MJC's comment about it.
