Pull the plug on the internet connection and follow the instructions in this thread (only connect online when needed).

but for sure do not get online except only to do the hijackthis and in my opinion if i may.........

i insist running an avast "gran scan" on evevything including a bootscan....

or personally id just pull the plug and reinstall depending on what all is on the machine. recovery consoles make this such an easy task
