Need advice RE: "Runtime Errors"

New to PCs. Have Windows ME. Just setup with Coppernet and get internet service great! BUT, my mail is a mess.
Followed advice from moderater here and achieved some success, in that I can now recieve email (first time in 3 days of trying)..thanks! However, when I try to send email I get numerous "Runtime Errors" one after another. How can I resolve this problem.

Runtime errors are usually due to the version of Java RE on the PC, I believe the latest version for Windows ME is Java5 Update 17? All older JRE/JVM versions should be removed via Add/Remove programs.
