Well, nobody over at Howard Forums seems to have an answer, so maybe somebody here will be able to help me with this cell phone problem. I have an old Samsung SGH-T209 (http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/detail/detail.do?group=mobilephones&type=mobilephones&subtype=t_mobile&model_cd=SGH-T209NBBTMB)cell phone that I want to give to a friend to keep as a spare. I was able to charge the phone up normally so I think battery is good. But when I power up I get the normal Welcome to T-Mobile logo but then immediately Good-Bye with the T-Mobile logo and the phone powers down. Is this just because there is no SIM card in it or is the battery defective?
