Hey Guys,
I have clean installed xp home and all is working well.Internet explorer is extremely slow tho. When started a message says,"Internet explorer is running with add-ons disabled". Could this be the problem?
I have tried to enable add-ons but under "tools" in IE the "manage add-ons"
instruction is greyed out and can not be used.
What add-ons are available or beneficial and how can they be accessed.
I use Firefox for most of my browsing ,this is done with firefox.
Thanks for any help speeding IE up.

Seems it could all be related to the target - as with any particular shortcut.

See http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itprovistaie/thread/53a3b82c-e61a-4576-8d80-91e204d4b1e9/

I hate any sort of Add-ons but maybe this top eleven (http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/top-11-must-have-internet-explorer-addons/) would be of interest.

Thanks Paul,
The first link fixed the addon popup.I couldn't find anything in the second one that may be useful.
My main problem is that I use hotmail for some things and it takes a long time to load ,display and open mail.

FYI: You don't need IE to use hotmail. Firefox can open the app...and is faster and more secure than IE.

Hey Guys,
seems like Kerio/Sunbelt software firewall was stopping/slowing things. Also MS phising filter.Disabled Phishing filter and Kerio firewall and using M.S. Firewall and things going ok but could be much better.
