Have only been on here a little less than a month, but enjoy it immensely. The help I've received here is invaluable. Two things about the site puzzle me.

1) The symbols that appear below everyone's user name. What do each of the symbols stand for and why are they there?

2) I've noticed that after I originally sign in, when I've been on here just browsing for a while and then go to make a post, I have to sign in again. Is there a reason for this?

I have no clue about the first one, and I was curious about that too. For the repetative signing in, I've only noticed when I have NoScript running in FireFox. Even in Windows 7 on Internet Explorer 8, I've noticed no problems in that manner soo far.

Basically, the little symbols are just a post count...that's why I have a mile long line of them....I talk too much :D

Yes, there is a problem.
Check your PC's time/date/year settings to make sure they are OK.
The PC-Guide uses a cookie that is time-limited [so I believe].
If your PC's time settings [year in particular] are not correct, the cookie times out [or fails to function] and forces you to re-sign-in.

You may need to delete the cookie for the site and re-set it.
And of course make sure that cookies are enabled.

1 icon for 2 posts
2 icons for 4 posts
3 icons for 8 posts
... etc

You are at 26 now so watch your own grow when you get to 32 posts.
