...even before it's official release?

Someone with better grammar skills should be a prerequisite for a journalist wouldn't you think?

Windows 7 talk here (http://www.hardwarezone.com/articles/view.php?cid=11&id=2801&pg=2).

I mean, I thought it was something of a 'waste' back many years ago to have a telephone in the bathroom (or restroom) let alone, television, radios etc, and I must admit using my wireless laptop there once or twice tops (microphone muted of course), but to go so far as to suggest 'plopping' W7 directly into the commode as to where they tried it seems a bit biased 'blasting' don't you think?!?!?!

What I 'DOO' know is, I don't think I'll EVER be able to 'flush' (http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/tongue.gif) these visions from my head!

Found this amusing article while searching for W7's min req's. I'm probably going to be the unlucky one who has to test the system to it's lowest 'settings' (ability)... :o I downloaded the BETA and don't want to get new hardware in a rush just to be able to try it (got less than 2 weeks left to install it). If it meant I could keep it, that would be different. That is, considering I have an extra copy of XP Pro and one of XP Home unused also puts no fire under my bottom.

Guess I'll take a spare HDD, some DDR Ram, a P4 equivalent AMD processor and try to race it around the (snail) track once, or maybe once and a half, if.. ..it doesn't roll over and fall flat on it's face by then...

Wish me luck...

Well it is supposed to run on netbooks, so it is definitely trimmer than Vista.
Good luck

It's running perfectly fine on my laptop... I think things have improved over XP which I had some problems. It at least seems to be faster to install with out needing to hunt down and download specific drivers...

The (what I thought would be) iso file had a '.dlm' file extension after the iso?

NERO balked at making an image of it so I deleted that second extension and burned an iso that installs part way but stalls out after a bit.

I was false booting into a system not intended for it so just closed out.

Am I going to run into the same problem with the system I intend to try it on?

Intended test bed:
AMD 2800 Barton
PC-333 (DDR400) 1.25G RAM
64meg AGP8 vid nVidia ASUS card

Yeah, it's old, so am I.
