Sorry if this is posted anywhere else here but I did check the Security forum first. There is now further responses from Kaspersky since this article but right now it is damage control.

I read about the incident this weekend, it looks like a hacker did an injection attack and got the site to release some info.

Yes, and the thing is they hacked into customer accounts retrieving customer emails, activation codes, and who knows what else.

Actually they said they "could" but didn't. Embarrassing in any case.
This was the US support site that just went online January 28.
