Bios Update error!

Hi to all,

Anybody knows the soyo kt 600 dragon plus v2.0 motherboard? The chipset is via apollo kt 600.

I have problem to update the bios. Directly in the soyo web site, have the bios kvpe2aa4.rom, and the flash award. But in the initialization the bios is ami, and with program utility shows ami.

The program utility shows motherboard manufacturer is ECS.Code 1131-Elitgroup, not is a Soyo manufacturer.

I download the latest bios update to supports amd sempron processor, and the flash program, but when I try to update shows the message:

System bios does not have flash support.

My bios is AMI. V1.21.13(2000). The latest update date is 2004.

How to solve this problem with the correctly bios, correctly program or correctly line command, or the motherboard have a problem?

The program utility shows motherboard manufacturer is ECS.Code 1131-Elitgroup, not is a Soyo manufacturer.

What is showing that the board is an ECS board?

You can't run a Soyo BIOS on an ECS board, since they are not likely to even be the same chipset. You are going to need to find out more detailed information about the board and look to see if you can find an ECS update for it.

But, why are you wanting to update the BIOS?
