installed new x850 drivers, graphics taking a dump

Hey yall, i recently purchased a HP w1907, and its a great monitor. When i plugged it in my highest setting was 1280x something, the monitor reccomended 1440x900. So i updated the drivers and it looked great, but i cant load any games, opening tabs and windows on the desktop goes very slow etc.

i had this same issue when i tried to update the drivers about 4 months ago, even after uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling the issue is still there. yes im sure i completely uninstalled the drivers. Does anyone know any possible solution?

bump for the night crew, i read up more on somewhat similar problems, the first time it happened i had not added the now newly added ram that is in there now, and im not getting BSOD, also i cannot find any complaints about similar problems like this happening, its almost as if the drivers are installed but as if the card is running super slow.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
