I have a cdrom drive that I haven't used in a while and I need to know what speed it is. I think it is 8x, but am not sure. There is nothing that gives me any clue physically on the drive. However I know very little about computers and understand that I may have missed something. Bottom line is I need all of you to give me some clue as to what speed my cdrom is.

Please send replies to me at jeremyo2003@hotmail.com.

THANKS!

Sometimes the model number printed on the case will give you a clue, if not, look for the drivers for it by the model number, and the driver page might list the speed. You might also be able to download a manual fron the manufacturer's website, usually the same place they have drivers posted.

Win Drivers (http://www.windrivers.com) and WinFiles (http://www.winfiles.com) are two of the best driver sites around.
