Hi everyone,
I am running windows 98 on a ide hard drive "c drive". I installed a scsi hard drive and a adaptec controller. I booted the computer and device manager listed it but it was not in "my computer as drive "d". I installed ez-scsi and the software promptly found the scsi hard drive and labeled it drive "d" and formatted it. Can anybody explain to me how to setup the scsi hard drive without using ez-scsi.Would like to know how to set it up the hard way? I think I have found the answer- fdisk is the only way to prepare the hard drive? Is this correct?
Thanks in advance

Yep, thats the answer. Until you partition and format the drive Windows 9x will not assign it a new drive letter. LAter...
