I have two relatively up-to-date computers each with a capable networking card and i was wondering what i could do with them. for now I just want to hook them together so i can transfer files back and forth and maybe run some multiplayer games. It sounds simple but i didn't know where to start. Any suggestions or sites you could refer me to?

Check out this site that explains how to setup a simply "peer to peer" network.
