Well I also like the building and managment myself, but a very avid FPS aswell. As far as buildign comes to mind, Civilization 4 is by far my favorite, there is alot to it, just takes some time to learn it all, unless you have already tried it. I also really like Day of Defeat: Source as a FPS. But not alot of people play it anymore. Happy Hunting

I think Age of Empires II with the Conquers Expansion pack is the best in the series.

Here's what kind of games I have on my computers

I use my Acer for Highend Gaming. The games on my acer are Mostly FPS and RPS With a few RTS and Several Giant Robot sims

The Windows 98 Is used to run Dos/Games Designed for 9x That are incompatable with my Acer. A third of the games on my 98 involve giant robots. A also Have a few classic FPS on the 98. And a few other games

I don't use my laptop for gaming

I recommend:

The Movies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Movies)

Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Majesty_(computer_game)) (and its upcoming sequel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Majesty_2))

Sins of a Solar Empire (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sins_of_a_Solar_Empire)

The Movies is kind of like a tycoon game except with a movie studio. Very highly rated, although I've never played it myself. (I did buy it as a gift once, though.)

Majesty 1 is older but seems to have been one of those sleeper hits. Majesty 2 (coming later this year) is receiving considerably more attention.

SoaSE is a 4X w/RTS type game, very much like E:TW. Both have gotten rave reviews, proving that 4X doesn't have to be Civ to be good! A lot of new gamers are getting into 4X specifically because of these two games.

Civ4 is good, but only if you're a Civ fan already. There are increasingly fewer new Civ gamers with each iteration, a fact that has not eluded Sid himself. That's why he's been branching out with console "lite" versions and whatnot. But I still say SoaSE and E:TW are a better gaming experience than a watered-down Civ any day!
