I want to! I really want to! Especially since I bought the game over 2 years ago! :( But I can't get the darn thing to be stable!! :mad:

How did you do it on your Acer? Because I've tried to keep the game running on three different hardware configurations using WinXP Pro 32-bit, Vista Ultimate 64-bit, Vista Business 64-bit, Vista Business 32-bit - even Ubuntu 8.04/8.10 using wine!!! WTF is wrong with that game!? :mad:

Every time I've tried, the game either runs like cr@p, runs like cr@p and then crashes, or it fails to even start. I haven't tried it on Win7 yet, mostly because I gave up on it 9 months ago, but if there's some sort of magic pill I can give my computer now I'd be willing to give this game another try. NWN1 Diamond was pretty awesome!

I didn't do anything special. Except getting the latest patches for the game.

You should make sure you have the latest latest patches for both NWN2 and Windows. You should also make sure you have the latest driver for your graphics card.

No no, you don't understand...

That is the advice I give to others. I'm the one that tells everyone else that. So of course I do that myself. Check for Windows updates at least once a week (and especially on update Tuesdays), check for graphics updates at least twice a month (and especially when I'm having issues with games), defrag set on a schedule (and done immediately after installing a game), full reinstall every 9-18 months, etc.

I know I'm not alone with the technical issues of NWN2; I saw them all over the web when that game was released. What gets me is that it wasn't fixed within a year! :eek: WTF!? I have long since written that game off...

I got NWN2 to Run without a problem on my XP 64bit Pro.

I Have the original NWN on my laptop With both expansion packs all the premium modules. IT runs good on my laptop. Too bad NWN takes up a little over 25% of the HD(NWN takes 8.25GB). I still have 12Gigs left.
