Network Security vs Just Networking

I have my A+ and ACMT(Mac A+) already. I'm taking my Net+ test tomorrow morning. Thinking about maybe going into either network security or just networking. I'm thinking CCNA is good for both paths. Not sure how valuable Security+ is. I haven't heard alot about it. Just looking for some input on recommended paths.
