Personally I distrust all of them but CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/)often gets referenced. Personally I would back-up an image of your system beforehand and indeed create other images before major upgrades or installs to avoid ever having to use them.

I'm using one called Eusing Free Registry Cleaner. Hasn't given any problems so far.

I tend to agree with Paul,
CCleaner's registry tool does prompt the user to make a backup of the registry first, but there is still risk in the wholesale automatic removal of registry entries. One mistake and you can find yourself up to your ears in trouble.

I've used a few of the features in RegSeeker (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&channel=s&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hs=t4B&q=RegSeeker&btnG=Search) and never been burned but I'm also prepared to reload my system should I screw it up badly too..

So far, we're good, knock on wood... ;)
