Possibly the only reason many users haven't removed Adobe Reader yet is that they, like me, were stupid enough to buy pdf ebooks and now are waiting to see if they can actually get to keep them.

Patched version is available now, can load via "check for updates" in Acrobat or Reader.
Keep repeating until no more updates show available.

Viewing a document in Foxit - is there anyway that I can print a document in Foxit? Thank you.

To print a document in Foxit, the print icon is on the menu bar at the top. the third item from the left, a printer icon.

Thanks for your reply. I have Foxit 5 and I don't have anything at the top at all to give me the print option.

I'm still on version 3.1.xxx and there IS a print icon as I just checked.

Someone remind me not to upgrade..

Foxit...works in Windows...works very well in WINE (Linux)...has many more features than I regularly use (did you know that it can automatically do pagination to print a pdf as a book?). Not all that invasive (it does ask to install a toolbar these days...but it ASKS). Many fewer vulnerabilities...

Every PC that passes by here has Adobe 'surgically' removed and Foxit installed. The only Adobe on my and any of my friends PC's is Flash. And if I could come up with an alternate, even that would get evicted..

I thought it was just the pdf reader that had a problem... I still use adobe flash (I wouldn't mind switching to another flash player...)

be careful with what you type..., just after I typed that, Adobe Flash crashed on me...

My problem was that my toolbar was not showing. I played around with this for some time and after changing a setting to display the toolbar, I was able to view the printer icon. Thanks much.:)

If the toolbar ever disappears again, in Foxit or most any other program, clicking on the "File" menu will also offer you options for printing. An extra click, and not as nice as a colourful icon, but works the same. :) (Or a simple Ctrl+P will do the trick also)

Another trick to display hidden main menu bars is hitting the Alt button to display the menu bar, then click View>Toolbars and change the defaults to display the main menu bar.

Flash can remain, but beware Flash tracking.
Better Privacy extension for Firefox browser, Chrome, and IE does a very nice job of keeping those under control.

Adblock Plus for Firefox/Safari?Chrome also works very nicely. Also removes YouTube video ads.
