You can reformat your hard drive, that will get rid of all the informaton. Then you can reload OS and other programs as you wish.

There is much more to this site than just these forums. It contains an entire PC Guide! Within the Guide is a section on software.

Here are a couple of helpful links.

Hard Disk Partitioning and Formatting Procedure (http://www.pcguide.com/proc/setup/hdd-c.html) from the PC Guide. Skip the fdisk/partitioning section, all you need to do is format and reinstall.

Quick Guide to a Windows 98 Fresh Start (http://www.hardwarehell.com/fdisk.htm) Also very good, and again skip the fdisk procedure.

Fdisk is only necessary with a new hard drive, or if you wish to change from FAT 16 to FAT 32. You can check by right clicking the My Computer icon on your desktop, and click Properties then the Performance tab. Look at the File system line. If it says 32 bit it's FAT 32. 16 bit means it's FAT 16. FAT32 is faster and uses smaller clusters, and is usually recommended for win95b and later. If you find you're running FAT16 and wish to change, then the fdisk procedure will be necessary, otherwise it shouldn't be needed.
